This is an official brand property, not an independent or third-party review service. We state that plainly here and in the banner on every page so no visitor has to guess who publishes this content.
How reviews are collected
Reviews are written and submitted by enrollees inside the authenticated McAfee Institute enrollee portal on mcafeeinstitute.com. This site does not accept submissions of any kind — there is no form here, and the credentials this site uses to read review data have read-only access. Keeping submission on the authenticated main site is deliberate: it means the enrollment check cannot be bypassed.
How reviews are verified
A review carries the gold verified enrollment badge when the submitting account has a confirmed enrollment (order) record for the program being reviewed. That is a system record, not a self-declaration. Reviews without a matching order record are still published where they meet policy, but they do not carry the badge.
How ratings are calculated
Each certification average is a plain arithmetic mean of every published review of that program, on a one-to-five scale, rounded to one decimal place. The site-wide average is the same calculation across all programs. Nothing is weighted, boosted, or excluded, and the star distribution charts always report all five rating levels, including one- and two-star reviews.
Moderation and integrity
Reviews are moderated for policy compliance only, never for rating. No review is removed, reordered, or suppressed because of its score, and reviews are not compensated or incentivized. Our review policy lists every rejection reason and explains how to request a correction to your own review.
