Certified Organized Retail Crime Investigator (CORCI) Reviews

This specialized training was provided to our police personnel that are assigned to our department's ORC team. Working in the Chicagoland area, our police personnel needed to have a certification that supported the ORC criminal investigations that they were completing. This training and certification provides our police personnel with the credentials needed to support their ORC criminal investigations, when presenting their criminal cases or testifying in court.

This is my third course with the McAfee Institute. I consider their content to be a modern approach to ORC. They covered what an investigator should know about ORC, the structure, the process and the legality surrounding the role. As an experienced ORC investigator I chose this course not only as a refresher but to keep up-to-date on any training that is available. I highly suggest this course to Investigators who are new to ORC. It will give you a good insight into what you may face and other concepts of investigations.

I recently just went through the Board Certified "Certified Organized Retail Crime Investigator" (CORCI) course. I immediately fell in love with the course layout and platform which was simple to use and navigate. The content of the course was also excellent. Whether you have been conducting ORC investigations for 50 years or 1 day there is something for everyone. For me, there was a nice mix of reading work, video tutorials, and assignment work that helped me gain the knowledge I needed in order to pass the final exam. 2 day's after passing the exam I came a crossed a real life situation at work in which I was able to obtain a ton of information to build a nice foundation for my investigation. I would recommend this course to everyone in Loss Prevention and Law Enforcement. I just recently began my endeavor towards the CORCI Board Certification. I am very pleased with the curriculum and how it is presented. It is very informative. It includes written information which I personally print out for future review and study, in addition to audible lectures from an instructor.

This course digs deep and covers everything you need to know about ORC. It's self paced and easily explained, was 100% worth it. Will be interested in taking more courses here at the McAfee Institute.

I came away with a lot regarding the resources available to help aid during investigations (i.e. MetaData, Maltego, Advanced Search for EBay). The training offered many additional ones that all investigators should at least make themselves aware of to support your research and findings. Great purchase and good refresher.

The course was incredibly comprehensive. The level of detail went far beyond what I expected...in a very good way. As a security professional and investigator for over 20 years I can say that there was so much I didn't know. I'll be a better investigator and leader as a result. The course consists of a great deal of video and reading assignment, which helped to break it up. While some may know some of the content, it's unlikely that you will take this course and not learn a great deal of new techniques and best practices. Worth every penny.

I think that you should also offer a course for individuals that have dealt with ORC before so that we can skip the basic information. There were a few chapters that I could have skipped due to my prior knowledge. Overall this course was informative.

Great course absolutely worth it and I really enjoy the new web page McAfee has makes navigation much easier.

I am a Detective assigned to the Economic Crime Unit at Upper Merion Township Police Department. The King of Prussia Mall, the 2nd largest mall in the United States with over 500 stores in 3.8 million square feet of retail space is located within our jurisdiction, so you can see how important a course such as Organized Retail Crime Investigator would be to our Police Department. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is involved in Economic Crime _ Detectives, Uniformed Officers and Loss Prevention Personnel. The information provided is invaluable. The support team - Justice Simone - was top notch in answering all my questions and keeping me on track. The course provided me with a solid foundation to build upon.
